Ivy Kids is an English Immersion program that aims to develop language ability, intellect, creativity, and to nurture human development. YBM ECC's Ivy Kids program seeks to develop truly bilingual students by focusing on three aspects of every student: creativity, intelligence and behavior.
As an Ivy Kids teacher, you will most likely teach some, but not all of the courses. Native Teachers often teach the Language courses, Phonics, American Curriculum Course, Math, Good Manners, Theme Lesson, Speech, and Vocabulary & Writing.

To teach students natural English, based around a theme (Content Based Instruction). Each level builds upon the previous to provide students with a graduated curriculum that builds a solid English foundation.

Reading / Phonics To teach students critical thinking skills, vocabulary and appropriate context, foster their imagination and teach them about different cultures and basic reading strategies and skills. Phonics is the study of the relation of sounds to spelling. It is the foundation for reading for learners of English. Although English spelling seems rather arbitrary, there are indeed rules of spelling which cover the great majority of our words. Learning these rules, and how they change the relationship between sounds and letters is critical.

Application / Theme To provide students with a well balanced program that instills a desire to learn. This immersion approach offers students a wide variety of English language learning contexts.

IPC Traditionally subjects are taught as separate units. IPC seeks to help students see the big picture by showing how various subjects are inter-related. Students learn and apply English through a variety of methods and activities.
