At Gwangmyeong ECC we have more than 15 teachers that are either Korean English teachers or Native English teachers. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly here as some of our teachers have been with us for many years now. There should be no problem settling in and getting comfortable. Our school is also close to the Gwangmyeong bullet-train station, the regular train station in Yeongdeungpo, as well as the Yongsan bullet train station. You can go to Busan by bullet-train in 2 hours and 40 minutes versus the 5 to 6 hours it takes by regular train.
We accommodate kindergarten through middle school students. Most classes run for 40 minutes at a time. Our students have a designated foreign teacher and Korean English teacher just like the other ECC schools.
Our location is great for those who want to get away once in a while: the Cheolsan subway station (line 7) is right outside our school within one minute on foot. Gwangmyeong is in the southwest region of Seoul and technically it is part of Gwangmyeong city, but our school and apartments are just a few miles from Seoul and even our phone number has a Seoul prefix. Nearby you will find all the amenities you need such as restaurants and shops in the plaza across the street from us. There is a McDonald's, Burger King, and a Pizza Hut among other restaurants. The nearest department store is only two subway stops away. If you like to go hiking there is a nearby mountain where you will find many Koreans and foreigners enjoying a nice hike.
We will provide the cleaner and modern officetel-type housing for our foreign teachers. They are non-shared private studios.
