Hello from Songdo ECC,
Come work at Songdo ECC located in Korea's most high-tech city called New Songdo City part of Incheon new Free Economic Trade Zone, about 40 min from Seoul. New Songdo city is a city within a city; a newly-developed area where you can find offices of major corporations as well as aspects of the high-tech industry. This area is much different than most parts of Korea as it has a modern/high-tech feel yet still has all the amenities a large city like Seoul can offer with less congestion.
Our school is located near the Campus Town subway station on the Incheon Subway line, which connects to the Seoul subway line 1, and we also provide one of the BEST housing for teachers in Korea. Songdo ECC, provides instructors with safe and modern officetel type housing. These officetels are quite spacious and bigger than the average officetels. They feature a lofted area that is used as a bedroom which overlooks the kitchen and living area. Within this highrise building there are shops and restaurants on the first floor and nearby you can find many places to eat, hangout and enjoy your freetime when not working Click on this sentence to take a look at one of our loft officetels which our teachers use.
The U-Life South Korea plans to spend $25 billion on New Songdo, the world's largest "ubiquitous city," with computers linking home life and life on its streets. Construction, 40 miles from Seoul, is to be done in 2014.
The New Songdo city will comprise of an International Business District (IBD) that will include a convention center, Jack Nicklaus Golf Course, Yonsei Songdo Global Academic Complex, Northeast Asia Trade Tower, First World Towers, Incheon Tower, international school, museum, cultural center, and even a large Central Park.
