Come work at Bupyeong ECC in the city of Incheon a metropolitan city and a major seaport on the west coast of Korea. Incheon is now home to almost 2.5 million people. Incheon is trying to be an English speaking city and on February 27, 2007, Incheon declared itself an "English City," and inaugurated the "Incheon Free English Zone" program.
The Bupyeong district is one of the most affluent areas in Incheon. This area is very clean and modern as this district was not fully developed until the late 90's and currently one of the most popular areas for Koreans to reside or work in with many modern buildings similar to Bundang, which is also an affluent suburban area.
Our school should be relatively close to Bugae and Bupyeong Subway Station. Remember, Incheon subway lines are contected withen the Seoul subway system, so you can go visit Seoul freely anytime! Bupyeong Station also has the express subway version which actually goes on less stops. You can get to Sindorim (line 1&2) in western Seoul in about 25 minutes. It will take about 40 minutes on the regular version.
Bupyeong ECC is also right across the street from the Samsan World Gym which is the biggest fitness center/gym in the city of Incheon. Not only do they have the standard fitness facilities (weight room, aerobics, yoga, etc) they also have an indoor pool. You can watch events there as well such as professional basketball games and concerts.
There is a Lotte Mart where you can take care of your grocery shopping that is connected to the extensive underground complex of Bupyeong Subway Station. There are many clothing stores and retail outlets within this large underground complex as well as a multiplex theatre.
The Bupyeong Station area is also a very busy area in Incheon, with many young people out during the night. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, and night clubs in the area. It is actually quite crowded during the weekends and evening hours.
Scholars and bookworms can check out the Incheon Bupyeong Public Library. For a drink, you can go to Goose Goose, which is a very well known expat bar, close to the train station. You can also find the I'svill Outlet Mall in Bupyeong. They have a CGV multiplex theatre, shopping mall, and a fitness club.
