Hello from YDP ECC,
YDP ECC or Yeongdeungpo ECC is located in the western part of Seoul situated in the residential part of this district. This area offers an exciting nightlife with numerous places to shop such as the old style markets and modern departments stores. For those looking to explore Korea, the subway system will offer quick transportation to most parts of Korea.
YDP ECC is also close to Yongsan's new bullet train station that can take you to Busan in 2 hours and 30 minutes or so. If you prefer the slower route you can go to Yeongdeungpo Train Station and take the regular train that can get you to Busan in about 4.5 to 6 hours depending on the type of train you use.
At YDP ECC we have between 12 to 15 Korean and foreign teachers. The nearest subway station would be Daerim subway station on lines 2 & 7, which would be a 10 to 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride. In the area there are many big supermarkets and Korean and Chinese restaurants. This location is also ideal as you can take a 10 to 20 minute bus ride to Yeongdeungpo train station, and there would be a Lotte department store, Shinsegye department store and a Kyungbang Phil Department Store. Also just 15 to 20 minute by subway would be the popular districts of Hongdae, Sinchon and Gangnam.
Hongdae and Gangnam would be where a lot of Seoul residents and foreigners would say that they spend there nights to go out for a night out on the town. Hongdae is famous for the nightlife and shopping that caters to the university students that frequent this area. Hongdae is the place for clubs and watching new and exciting performers perform live. Gangnam another exciting area has many affluent people who like to frequent this area. This area also has many trendy restaurants, nightclubs, upscale stores catering to many fashion conscious young people. So from our great location you would be able to visit both areas when you wanted.
