Daejeon has been one of the most comfortable areas to live in since the Prehistoric Era due to its central location within the Korean peninsula. Currently the 5th largest city in Korea with convenient access to Gyeongbu railway, Honam railway, Gyeongbu highway, and Honam highway. You can quickly get to anywhere in Korea by various transportation options.

Located in the heart of the Korean peninsula, Daejeon is a gateway to the three southern provinces of the nation, as well as a transportation hub. Also known as the Silicon Valley of Korea, Daejeon is home to Daedeok Science Town, an area with more than 200 private and public research institutions, centers and science parks. Major Korean corporations/universities such as Samsung, LG, KAIST-Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology & others are located within Daedeok Science Town in Yuseong-gu (Noeun ECC is located in Yuseong district)

The Yuseong hotspring district is one of Korea's most popular tourist destinations. The famous hotsprng baths along with a lively entertainment scene attracts visitors domestically and from overseas. The water contains about 60 kinds of dynamic elements and has won worldwide reputation as a weak alkali spring water with pH level of 7.5¡­8.5. This district is open 24hrs and near Chungnam University which explains the large number of eateries, pubs and shops that cater to many university students, expats and young couples.

The city is home to many professional sports teams and even has the World Cup Stadium used during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The Daejeon Museum of Art, located in Dunsan Grand Park, is an art museum focused on the convergence of art and technology (Daejeon ECC is near Dunsan district)

In a typical day in Daejeon, there are 48 births, 15 deaths, 27 marriages, 11 divorces, 1,652 moving, 945,000 using public transportation, 884,000 parcels in transit, and 8,104 people using the public libraries.

Two ancient capitals of the Baekje Kingdom (18 BC - 660 AD) are in the vicinity of Daejeon, allowing easy access to a wide array of cultural and historical sites.

By bullet train(KTX) it only takes about fifty minutes to Seoul and by regular train or express buses, Daejeon is about an hour and forty minutes from Seoul and about three hours from Busan.
