Greetings,
Gangseo ECC is a company owned ECC school located in the western part of Seoul, within walking distance (around 5 minutes) of Ujangsan subway station on line #5. It is the fourth school in the Western area for ECC with its three other sister school's of Mok-dong, Yeongdeungpo and Gwangmyeong.
Formally a franchise ECC location that ceased operations a few years back the YBM Head Office has successful launched it as a company owned ECC branch. Gangseo literally means "west of the river" the word "gang" means river and "seo" means west. The Han river intersects Seoul and Koreans refer to the 4 districts by geographic terms such as Gangseo, Gangnam, Gangdong and Gangbuk.
Gangseo offers a less congested environment than central Seoul but with all the amenities you would expect from a district that is part of Seoul. A pleasant residential environment amidst a great natural environment and expanding subways provide a solid basis for transforming Gangseo into a new center of the western Seoul in the 21st century.
From this location our teachers can quickly get to the Gimpo area as it is adjacent to our district via subway line #5. About 30 minutes by subway to our west you can get to the popular university district located near Shinchon and Hongik University subway stations. Access to the Mokdong and Yeongdeungpo district by bus or subway is only a few minutes away.
Furthermore, the Gayang and Banghwa bridges lead to the northern part of Seoul, further enabling a more convenient transportation network.
