Greetings from Daegu ECC
Our academy is located in one of the more popular areas of Daegu in Suseong-gu, an upper-middle class community. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and amazing scenery. We can see the Daegu World cup soccer stadium and are just a few minutes away walking distance from E-mart (Korean version of Wal-mart). The transportation here allows for quick and efficient travel to anywhere in Korea (Seoul is a bit over 3 hours away and Busan is a little over an hour away by normal train, but with the new bullet train it is now under 2 hours to Seoul and even closer to Busan). Our area has a large variety of Western restaurants as well as Korean ones too. There are an abundant amount of bakeries and cafes just steps from our academy. If you like to work out, our academy faces the Sports Complex.
Our current staff consists of around 20 Korean English teachers and Native English teachers. Our school is in a new complex, which offers Internet access. The accommodations that are provided by the school are only minutes away from the academy.
Our school is around a two minute walk from Sinmae Station (Daegu subway system line 2) which can take you just about anywhere you want to go in the city. For health enthusiasts, Daegu ECC is also within two minutes walking distance from the Arena Fitness Center.
Hiking enthusiasts can visit Mt Sungam, which is located near the World Cup Stadium. It has novice to beginner level courses for those that just want to enjoy the scenery and get some fresh mountain air. Those who want more of a challenge can try Mt Palgon, which features a beautiful Buddhist temple at the peak.
We have some kindergarten classes but most of our students are elementary students. Like at all company owned ECCs, our classes are mostly forty minutes in duration and the age group we cater to is 8 to 16 year olds. The level of English that our students possess is diverse, from the complete beginner to the advanced speaker. The number of students per class range from 6 to 12.
We offer a warm and friendly working environment. ECC is equipped with all the materials and resources for teaching. It has structured lesson plans, which can guide inexperienced teachers. We are always looking for energetic and enthusiastic teachers to join our team.
