Noeun ECC is YBM's 2nd company-owned ECC in the city of Daejeon.
Daejeon is a mid-sized city with a population of about 1.4 million people, which is far less congested than Seoul yet has all the things you need in a vibrant city.
We're located in the affluent Yuseong district of Daejeon city, close to the famous Yusong Hot Springs. Yuseong was named a “Special Tourism District” due to the famous natural hot springs and spas of the area. Also this is a place where hi-tech industries and IT venture companies have set up. Educational institutions like the Korean Institute for Advanced Science and Technology (KAIST); the Korean version of MIT, are located in this region to be on the cutting edge of technology. You'll find many amenities in this area plus restaurants, movie theaters, bars, and shopping. The area has a suburb-like atmosphere with wider streets and more green space than the more populated cities in Korea.
Another feature of the Yuseong district which you will have access to is Gyeryongsan a 848 meter (2,782 ft) mountain only 20 minutes away for hiking enthusiast. On the mountain there are famous Buddhist temples such as Donghaksa, Gapsa and Sinwonsa for those seeking a bit of culture. Additionally portions of the mountain belong to the Gyeryongsan National Park where you can go for picnics and enjoy the view of Gyeryongsan.
Also our school is 3 minutes walking distance from the newly constructed Ban-seok Subway Station. From here you can take it six subway stops to Yuseong Spa subway station (Chungnam Nat’l Univ), an area where many local Korean and foreigners like to hang out. As there are many bars, like the Santa Clause bar which caters to expats, clubs trendy cafes and restaurants in this entertainment district.
Also from Ban-seok subway station you can easily get to Daejeon Station, which is downtown Daejeon. At Daejeon Station, there is the KTX bullet train that can take you to Busan in 2 hours and Seoul in 45 minutes. So if you wanted you could visit Seoul or Busan whenever you felt the need.
